Do you engrave firearm slides and parts?+
Yes, it’s our specialty. We engrave custom designs, deep engraving, personalized markings and intricate artwork on pistol slides and other firearm components using a fiber laser. Every firearm job is quoted individually: send your design or idea through the quote form and include the make and model. Please contact us before shipping anything to us.
Can I send you my whole firearm?+
No. We don’t accept complete firearms. Please send only the slide or the part you want engraved, and contact us before shipping it.
Will you engrave over or change a serial number?+
No. We don’t remove, alter, cover or obscure serial numbers or any other markings required by law, and we’ll plan your design around them.
What else can you engrave?+
Tumblers, knives, tools, firefighter retirement gifts, leather, stainless steel, aluminum and more. If you’re not sure about an item, ask us before ordering.
Can I send my own logo or artwork?+
Yes. Products that accept artwork take SVG, PNG, JPG or PDF files, and the custom quote form also accepts AI, EPS and DXF. Vector files (SVG, PDF, AI, EPS) give the cleanest result.
Can I bring my own item to be engraved?+
Yes. Choose “I’ll provide my own item” on the custom quote form and tell us what it is and what it’s made of.
How long does an order take?+
It depends on the item and the job. For custom work we confirm timing with your quote. If you need something by a certain date, add it to the quote form or contact us before ordering.
What if I spelled something wrong?+
Engraving is permanent, so please double-check your text before you order. If you spot a mistake, email info@carterandbone.com right away. We can change it only if we haven’t started engraving.
Do you do bulk or business orders?+
Yes. Logo engraving for teams, gifts and merchandise is quoted by quantity and artwork. Use the custom quote form.
Can I return an engraved item?+
Every piece is personalized, so returns work differently. See Shipping & Returns.
